±1±: Best Buy Why review a kickboard, you may ask? Aren't they all pretty much the same? While this is basically true, there are a couple of nice features about this board that made it ideal for me. Most people on my Masters team own the yellow TYR board. That can make it confusing on the deck to figure out whose board is whose. This board's blue color helps distinguish it from the others. In fact, when I was searching for a board, I deliberately tried to find one that was not yellow. It seems like, when I was a kid, kickboards came in all the colors of the rainbow, but I couldn't find very many color choices, and each vendor only had one or two different colors. Also, this board is a couple of inches shorter than the TYR board. I sometimes ride my motorcycle to practice, and the longer TYR board doesn't fit in my backpack. This one fits nicely, along with my fins, buoy, and other gear. One potential downside to this board is that it appears to be a bit spongier than the TYR, so I've already got a ding in the surface. I will have to wait and see about its long-term durability. All in all, I would definitely recommend it. on Sale!
