±1±: Best Buy Why review a kickboard, you may ask? Aren't they all pretty much the same? While this is basically true, there are a couple of nice features about this board that made it ideal for me. Most people on my Masters team own the yellow TYR board. That can make it confusing on the deck to figure out whose board is whose. This board's blue color helps distinguish it from the others. In fact, when I was searching for a board, I deliberately tried to find one that was not yellow. It seems like, when I was a kid, kickboards came in all the colors of the rainbow, but I couldn't find very many color choices, and each vendor only had one or two different colors. Also, this board is a couple of inches shorter than the TYR board. I sometimes ride my motorcycle to practice, and the longer TYR board doesn't fit in my backpack. This one fits nicely, along with my fins, buoy, and other gear. One potential downside to this board is that it appears to be a bit spongier than the TYR, so I've already got a ding in the surface. I will have to wait and see about its long-term durability. All in all, I would definitely recommend it. on Sale!

my last pair of Vanquisher goggles lasted me just over a year and a half. And they were so good I'm buying my second pair today. Very comfortable, excellent for either practice or competition. Mine only broke because I fiddled with the adjuster in the back a lot, and it eventually snapped. These are well worth the money.

I wanted gloves to use while snorkeling, which I do frequently, so I could use only my arms to get around and get an upper body workout. These are perfect. I fly through the water without using my fins and really work my upper arms and chest. As mentioned by many others, order smaller than usual. I normally wear large gloves but ordered medium on these and they fit perfectly. That was great advice by the other reviewers, thanks.

I ordered this mask after reading the review that this was specially made for an Asian nose. I live in Cyprus so I had to make an extra arrangement to receive here. I just opened and tried it on...what a disappointment. There is a big gap between my nose and mask, there is no way it will fit to my nose, one second after pushing hard to my nose, it will pop up...Basically this is like other masks I had before, which don't fit to my face.

These are soft, comfortable, easy to insert and to remove, and you can't beat the price! It was nice to get two pairs, and the carrying case keeps me from losing them.

I go swimming once or twice a week, but for about 2 hours at a time, and I've had no problems with the seal on these. If you follow the directions enclosed with the plugs, you'll have no problem putting them in.

Finis SwiMP3 V2 Underwater MP3 Player-New Design Just out for 2007 with Goggles

Excellent waterproof Mp3 player for LAP SWIMMERS. This player stays in place and works best when fully submerged. The sound quality is good but don't expect strong bass or very loud volume. Works best when used in conjunction with earplugs to block ambient pool noise. Can be used with just about any type of swim goggles...I use swedish goggs with the thin straps and it works great...stays put with strong pushes off the wall and all the head turning to breath! (some versions of this player come with goggles, mine did not). If you shop for this player, try to get the V2 version which has double the memory of the original and all of the controls are right on the side cheek bone player as opposed to a separate control pack that the original had which mounted on the back of your goggle straps.

After A LOT of research, I tried the speedo aquabeat first (USELESS FOR LAP SWIMMING...would be so-so for beach//surfing//boogie boarding///other water activities where your head remains primarily above water), and this player far out performs the Speedo Aquabeat in terms of comfort, staying in place, and providing decent sound quality. THIS IS CURRENTLY THE BEST UNDERWATER MP3 PLAYER OUT THERE FOR LAP SWIMMERS. All those that say it is to loud, were probably not using it correctly...it is designed to fire into the cheek bones and the vibrations conduct to your eardrums to produce the sound...those who put the player directly over the ear canal will find it to be quite loud. When worn properly, I found the volume to be sufficient but not even close to being to loud.

I have not experienced any of the headaches that a few others have claimed in their reviews...and I use this player to swim laps non-stop for an hour and a half each day, 5 days a week.

The software is easy to use with the standard drag and drop menus in windows. Others have also claimed there is no "shuffle" or random play feature, but there is if you read the instructions...you just have to hold down 2 buttons (the fwd and rev commands) at the same time on the player for 1 second and it's set to shuffle...very easy.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MP3 player to anyone who uses lap swimming for working out or competative swim training, it makes the time just fly by and you're no longer bored doing those long marathon swims...1 Caveat - it would not be well suited for use at the beach or on surfboards/boogie boards or other water activities where your head remains primarily out of the water as the sound conduction only really works well when it's submerged as previously stated. Good luck and enjoy if you buy this player...I found it to be well worth the money!

after a several uses, the anti-fog starts to fail...

at the beginning when it is band new, it works great! Clear and sharp.

I always wash it with water and hand soap after swimming to clean up the clorine ... still, the anti fog inner layer wears out quickly.

The good thing is that it doesn't leak... that's the important part.

Over all, it's still a great product compare to other models. If not because of the poor anti-fog thing, I would have give it a 5 stars rating.

I have swam competitively for over 10 years and have used several different kinds of goggles. I have always been a fan of Speedo's rubber fitted goggles and these live up to their reputation. The straps work great in spreading the pressure throughout the goggles. The goggles also do not put much pressure on the eye sockets, making it easier to wear for long practices. I bought the speedo aqua gloves in December 09 and within 3 weeks the rubber started coming off around the thumb area. I notified Amazon.com and they were very helpful in replacing them for me. I have had the new pair about 3 weeks and they are also starting to wear in the thumb area. I swim laps for 1 hour a day and love how you can glide through the water with the gloves on but they just don't seem to hold up for any length of time.

I have been trying to learn to swim laps for exercise since my knees have been bothering me. I was having trouble because I never learned to hold my breath as a child. I almost gave up. Then I tried these and now have been swimming laps 4-5 times a week. I'm swimming a 1/4 mile (in addition to lifting weights) and loving it. I wanted to write a brief review about the FINIS becuase I honestly doubted that it would even work. Surprisingly, it works pretty well. You do not get deep base or Bose type sound, but you can clearly hear the music and the volume is sufficient even when swimming at sprint speeds. If you are looking to break the silence in the pool...this is a great option. I have tried units with headphones and they rarely work. Once you get water in your ear, they are completely ineffective, but this one acutally works when your ears fill up with water and when you are waiting for the next interval. Maybe I will actually make it to the pool more often now...

The FINIS SwiMP3 Player uses bone conduction and it has excellent sound quality for an underwater product! I have custom ear plugs that I purchased from an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor and when I wear them while I swim with the SwiMP3 player all I hear is music.

The version 2 is much nicer than the first version because you can wear nearly any pair goggles with it, downloading music is easier and it has more memory (nearly 60 songs as well as 8 hours of use before recharging.

The version 1 limited the swimmer to goggles that would fit the player, held up to 30 songs, had a 4 hours of use before charging. Plus, if you have the version 1 player, you can send it in to FINIS for $100 US Dollars and they will send you version 2.

I was not impressed by this product. I spend a lot of time in the pool, and I know that swim suits do not last forever, but I have never had one that deteriorated this fast. I am in the pool for 1-2 hours 4 days a week. This product literally lasted less than a month before becoming completely see-through and unwearable. I would not recommend this to anyone except the very occasional casual swimmer. From now on, I will be buying only Nike products.
