I am on my third pair of these gloves. I wouldn't keep buying them if I didn't like them. They are made of a thick neoprene, making the gloves a bit stiff, but also providing good resistance in the water. The sizing on these gloves is generous, so if in doubt, order the smaller size. The velcro closure stays secure along the wrists, and the gloves are easy to put on and remove. They dry fairly quickly. I use them almost every day and have no problem with soggy gloves in my gym bag. If these gloves were a bit more flexible - allowing me to comfortably grasp water weights while wearing them - they'd be perfect. As it is, I can hold the weights, but it's a little uncomfortable.

I wanted gloves to use while snorkeling, which I do frequently, so I could use only my arms to get around and get an upper body workout. These are perfect. I fly through the water without using my fins and really work my upper arms and chest. As mentioned by many others, order smaller than usual. I normally wear large gloves but ordered medium on these and they fit perfectly. That was great advice by the other reviewers, thanks.

I bought the speedo aqua gloves in December 09 and within 3 weeks the rubber started coming off around the thumb area. I notified Amazon.com and they were very helpful in replacing them for me. I have had the new pair about 3 weeks and they are also starting to wear in the thumb area. I swim laps for 1 hour a day and love how you can glide through the water with the gloves on but they just don't seem to hold up for any length of time.
